Located just a short distance from the border with Ukraine, Hope Shelter in Przemysl, Poland serves as a vital safety net for those fleeing conflict-ridden regions of Ukraine. Unlike large, bloated NGOs, our operations thrive on the dedication of incredible long- and short-term volunteers who give their time and energy.
Hope Shelter began welcoming displaced Ukrainians in October 2022. Today, it is the largest shelter near the border, standing as a beacon of love, strength, and unity — and yet, it is run entirely by volunteers. The volunteers provide sanctuary to the elderly, families, people with pets, and those with disabilities.
On World Refugee Day, Hope Foundation, the backbone of Hope Shelter, will be presenting and participating in the UNHCR event in Rzeszów, Poland. We’ll be engaging with children through art projects and we need your help to make this possible.
